Study on Synthesis and Performance of Sulfonated Waterborne Polyurethane
With the toluene diisocynate(TDI) and polyether glycol(N210; as the main materials,1,4 -butanediol(BDO) as small molecular chain extender, ethylenediamine sodium sulphonate( A95 ) as hydro-philic chain - extender, the title sulfonated waterborne polyurethane was prepared. The influence of A95 content on the performance of emulsion and film was studied. The properties and structure of the latex and its film was investigated by FT - IR, TEM, TGA, particle size, mechanical property and so on. The results showed that the tacticity and dispersivity of sulfonated waterborne polyurethane were satisfied. As A95 con-tent increased, the particle size of emulsion was decreased; when the content of A95 was 5% , emulsion showed good room temperature storage stability and the excellent film comprehensive performance.
