Synthesis and Properties of Polyurethane Hyperdispersant for SiO2 in Waterborne Dispersion
The hyperdispersant used for silica as matting powder dispersed in waterborne coatings was designed and synthesized by "tailoring proceeding" of polyurethane.The hyperdispersant had alkoxy silicon anchoring groups and polyethylene glycol water-soluble chain segment.The structure of hyperdispersant and its effect on dispersing performance of silica in waterborne dispersion were characterized by FT-IR,DSL and TEM.The results showed that the synthesized hyperdispersant could disperse silica to form a stable waterborne dispersion with small particle size showing no agglomeration.
