Formaldehyde is one of the critical indoor air pollutants that affect human health.This paper introduces the research progress of three types of formaldehyde-removing functional latex paints,namely functional emulsion type,functional additive type and functional pigment filler type.In addition,the formaldehyde-removing mechanism and advantages and disadvantages of these types of functional latex paints compared with conventional physically-adsorption formaldehyde-removing materials are also analyzed.Finally,the future development of formaldehyde-removing latex paint is described.
