Effects of SO42-,Cl- and CO32- on Corrosion of Mild Steel in Simulated Soil Solution Studied by Orthogonal Test
To study the effects of SO42-,Cl-and CO32-ions on the corrosion of mild steel in neutral soil, the three ions are taken as experimental factors and orthogonal test method is adopted. After 1 year of total immersion experiment, through observing the corrosion morphology, analyzing the composition of corrosion products and range analysis,it is found that the corrosion products on the surface of low carbon steel are mainly Fe3O4,α-FeOOH and γ-FeOOH when the content of CO32-in simulated soil solution is low,and the rust layer is loose and easy to remove. The overall corrosion occurs mainly on surface of mild steel. When the content of CO32-is increased, the corrosion products on the surface of mild steel are mainly Fe3O4 and α-FeOOH,and the rust layer is dense and hard to remove, wherein the pitting corrosion occurs. The effect of the three anions in soil solution on the corrosion loss rate of mild steel is ranked as SO42->Cl->CO32-,and the effect on the pitting depth of low carbon steel is ranked as CO32->SO42-->Cl-.
