The fire retardant effects of different types of flame retardant systems were compared.The composite intumescent flame retardant systems(e.g.,acid source,gas source and carbon source)were added to the epoxy polyester system in which the flame retardant additives and functional fillers were added to prepare a powder coating.The effects of different component and mass ratio on the fire retardant effect of the coating were systematically studied.Finally a optimized formula of powder coating for steel structure was obtained.
