The appearance quality of the coating film on surface of passenger car body affects people's sensory experience in aspects of the high-end car.It has become one of the parameters for consumers to evaluate the quality of the car when they buy a car.As viewed from the appear-ance quality of passenger car body,this paper solves the problem of orange peel appearance defect of coating Film on a passenger car painting production line.It is found that the main causes of the serious orange peel defect are the high roughness of the body-in-white,the low humidity of the spraying room and the insufficient overlap rate of the robot spray profile,it provides a reference for other production lines to improve the appearance quality of coating film for car body.
