An epoxy intumescent fireproof coating for steel structure has beed prepared,which has excellent fireproof and heat insulation properties.The coating can form a carbon layer upon high temperature and show a good strength which keeps it intact against impact,meanwhile,it exhibits excellent mechanical and corrosion resistance properties.The fireproof coating can be applied to the steel structures that require hydrocarbon fire protection,such as offshore oil platforms and petrochemical plants.
