Research on Optimization and Matching of Operational Parameters for Combine Harvester Vibrating Screens Based on ADAMS-EDEM
To clarify the relationship between the operating parameters of the vibrating screen and screening performance, and to enhance the screening performance of the vibrating screen in the grain combine harvester, this study carried out an optimized design for the vibrating screen of the ZOOMLION PL40 combine harvester. This paper analyzes the screening mechanism of the vibrating screen, explores the movement patterns of the screen surface and material particles, and identifies the operating parameters affecting the screening performance of the vibrating screen.Simulation and bench tests were conducted to study the distribution pattern of wheat threshed material on the upper screen surface, and an ADAMS-EDEM simulation model of the vibrating screen for wheat threshed material was constructed.Using amplitude, frequency, upper screen angle, and lower screen angle as test factors, and grain loss rate and impurity rate as evaluation indicators,an orthogonal rotational combination simulation test was performed.Regression models for grain loss rate and impurity rate were established, and optimal parameter combinations and matching relationships for the operating parameters of the vibrating screen were obtained.Bench test results showed that the loss rate and impurity rate of the vibrating screen were 2.07%and 2.39%,respectively,before optimization, and 0.95%and 2.78%,respectively,after optimization, with the loss rate reduced by 1.12%.The accuracy of the matching of the vibrating screen operating parameters was verified through simulation and bench tests, providing practical reference for optimizing the operating parameters of vibrating screens.
