Design and testing of wind-delivered electrostatic sprayers for greenhouses in Southern Xinjiang
Considering the plant protection operations for greenhouse crop in Southern Xinjiang widely exist some limitations, showing low degree of mechanization, uneven atomization effect of fog droplets, insufficient leaf cover and so on.A wind-fed electrostatic sprayer to meet the greenhouse self-propelled spraying was designed by adopting remote control and wind-fed electrostatic technology. The sprayer consists of overall structure, the air delivery device and the electrostatic system. And then, the air delivery electrostatic effect of the sprayer was testedin which the atomized particle size and the degree of leaf coverage are taken as the performance verification indexes. The results suggested that droplet size has certain differences, between electrostatic and non-electrostatic spraying action, showing electrostatic spray droplet size is relatively uniform, which meet the particle size range used to kill crawling pests and larvae on surface of flying foliage. In addition, due to electrostatic action, the average attachment of the plant foliage on the front and back sides increase in 10.43%and 17.32%,respectively,which enhances the effect of the droplet adhesion, and further achieve the goal of the savings drug to killing the pests.
