Analysis of the apparent morphology of the new burn ointment in promoting the healing of burn wound in mice
A new type of burn ointment was developed using local indigenous medicinal plants in Southern Xinjiang as test materials in this experiment. And the apparent morphology analysis of wound healing in mice was conducted to evaluate the effect of this ointment on the healing of superficial and deep second degree burn wounds on the back of mice.Three groups of mice burn models were established:blank control group, new burn ointment group, and therapeutic control group. The differences in wound diameter, wound healing rate, and healing time during the healing process of burn wounds in the three groups of mice were compared and analyzed. The results showed that compared with the blank control group, the wound healing time of the new burn ointment group and the therapeutic control group was significantly shortened, with statistical significance(P<0.05).The new burn ointment has a certain therapeutic effect on deep and superficial second degree burns in mice, which can significantly shorten the scab formation time and healing time. And its effect of treating deep second degree burns is significantly better than that of a commercially available burn ointment group. Therefore, the new burn ointment developed by the local wild medicinal plants in Southern Xinjiang exhibited obvious therapeutic effect on burn wound in mice, and can obviously shorten the healing time and scab formation time.
