McEwan is a writer who always pays attention to human nature and human survival conditions,and is highly concerned with humanistic care.Based on Marx and Fromm's theory of alienation,this article analyzes the phenomenon of alienation revealed by McEwan in Enduring Love from the perspectives of morality and emotion.It summarizes McEwan's strong advocacy for establishing connections between people through love to achieve the soundness of human nature,thereby eliminating the widespread alienation in capitalist society.
