Threshold Effect and Spatial Spillover Effect of Digital Economy-Driven High-Quality Population Development in Anhui Province
In order to investigate the impact and mechanism of the digital economy driving the high-quality development of population,we use the panel data of 16 prefectural-level cities in Anhui Province from 2010 to 2022 to construct the indicator system of the digital economy and high-quality development of population,and empirically study the association between the digital economy and high-quality development of population.The study finds that:the digital economy has a positive impact on the high-quality development of population and helps to narrow the gap of population development between regions;the digital economy has a nonlinear impact on the high-quality development of population and has a cumulative multiplier effect;the policy of"smart city"can significantly improve the quality of population development in the area of the demonstration of the policy and has a"demonstration effect"on the neighbouring areas;The"smart city"policy can significantly improve the quality of population development in the policy demonstration area,and has"demonstration effect"and"learning effect"on the neighbouring areas.Suggestions:Strengthen the digital economy policy orientation,increase the penetration rate of digital economy industries and regions,and strengthen the exchange of digital economy construction among regions.
