Reform Discourse and Historical Memory:the Collective Memory and Spreading of Xiaogang Spirit
The collective memory of the Xiaogang Spirit emerged alongside the historical evolution of the reform and opening-up process in China.It has undergone typical shaping within official and media spheres and has been revitalized through generations of oral transmission,textual documentation,and rich commemorative and dissemination activities,bridging the"yesterday"and"today"of China's reform.However,in the context of the changing social environment of the new era,the Xiaogang collective memory faces challenges such as generational shifts among opinion leaders,narrow dissemination pathways,and the solidification of narrative patterns.Therefore,it is essential to keep pace with the times by enhancing the dissemination of Xiaogang Spirit's collective memory through three practical aspects:research on the essence of the Xiaogang Spirit,expanding the channels of collective memory dissemination,and improving narrative methods.
