Network analysis and driver paths study for value co-creation behaviors in EPC project based on SVN
The implementation of engineering-procurement-construction(EPC)projects normally involves multiple stakeholders.Research and exploration of the relationships and value co-creation behaviors(VCCB)among various stakeholders in the construction field of EPC projects from a comprehensive and diverse perspective is an effective way to achieve project value and leverage the advantages of the EPC model. Therefore, based on the value co-creation theory and stakeholder value network(SVN)analysis method, the EPC projects adopting the design-construction consortium model led by the design unit are taken as the research objects. The value transmission and exchange among stakeholders through value co-creation behaviors is analyzed.A qualitative VCCB-SVN model is constructed, which contains five types of value co-creation behaviors, six types of stakeholders, and 70 value flows.Furthermore, the model is quantified to identify the crucial behaviors, critical value paths, and the execution effects of various value co-creation behaviors.Based on the model analysis results, driver paths and corresponding strategic suggestions for the value co-creation behaviors of EPC projects are proposed. The research could provide a fresh perspective for the realization of the value co-creation of EPC projects in the construction field.
