Objective To analyze the relationship between HGI and diabetic nephropathy(DN)in patients with type 2 diabetes(T2DM).Methods A total of 86 T2DM patients treated in Quanzhou Guangqian Hospital from January 2021 to January 2023 were selected as the study objects.According to the HGI value at admission, the patients were di-vided into low HGI group(≤-0.85),medium HGI group(-0.85-0.55)and high HGI group(>0.55),with 31 cases,29 cases and 26 cases, respectively. The level of glycosylated hemoglobin A1c(HbA1c)in the 3 groups was detected, and HGI was calculated.fasting blood glucose(FBG),total cholesterol(TC)and triacylglycerol were measured in 3 groups.TG,low density lipoprotein cholesterol(LDL-C)and high density lipoprotein cholesterol(HDL-C)level,retinol bind-ing protein(RBP)level, serum creatinine(Scr)level;Correlation analysis was performed using Pearson. Results There was no significant difference in the levels of FBG,TC and HDL-C among 3 groups(all P>0.05).The levels of HbA1c,RBP,Scr and LDL-C in low HGI group, medium HGI group and high HGI group were compared, and the differences were statistically significant(all P<0.05).Pearson correlation analysis showed that HGI was positively correlated with HbA1c,RBP,Scr and LDL-C,respectively(all P<0.05).Conclusion T2DM patients with HGI>0.55 were more likely to develop DN,and HbA1c,RBP and LDL-C all affected the development and progression of DN.
