Analysis of the Regression of Abnormal Glucose Metabolism in Gestational Diabetes Mellitus Patients at 6-8 Weeks Postpartum and Its Influencing Factors
Objective To investigate the regression of abnormal glucose metabolism in patients with gestational diabe-tes mellitus at 6-8 weeks postpartum and the influencing factors. Methods 130 patients who were diagnosed with ges-tational diabetes mellitus and successfully delivered between January 2020 and December 2022 in Putian 95th Hospi-tal were selected as the study subjects, and all of them underwent oral glucose tolerance test at 6~8 weeks postpartum.According to the results of the test,87 patients with normal glucose metabolic status were included in the control group, while 43 patients with abnormal glucose metabolic status were included in the study group. The prenatal and postnatal data of the patients were collected, and the levels of lipocalin, insulin, and leptin were measured and ana-lyzed for comparison. Results Postnatal fasting blood glucose level, postnatal adiponectin level and family history of diabetes in the study group were significantly higher than those in the control group, the pregnancy week at diagnosis was earlier than that in the control group, postnatal homeostatic model assessment of insulin rasistance, postnatal fast-ing insulin and postnatal leptin levels were lower than those in the control group, the differences were statistically sig-nificant(all P<0.05).Logistic multivariate analysis results showed that family history of diabetes, earlier gestational week at diagnosis and low postpartum leptin level were independent risk factors for postpartum glucose metabolism ab-normalities in gestational diabetes patients(all P<0.05).Conclusion Gestational diabetes mellitus patients had a higher risk of regression of abnormal glucose metabolism at 6~8 weeks postpartum, with a family history of diabetes mellitus,an earlier gestational week at diagnosis, and low postpartum leptin levels as independent risk factors.
