Objective To analyze the clinical effect of biguanide in patients with type 2 diabetes.Methods The 90 pa-tients with type 2 diabetes admitted to Lanshan District Third Hospital from March to October 2023 were selected as the study subjects,and they were divided into observation group and control group,with 45 cases each.The control group was treated with repaglinide tablets,and the observation group added metformin tablets to the control group,compared the treatment effect between the two groups.Results After treatment,the postprandial blood glucose,2-hour postprandial blood glucose,glycated hemoglobin and blood lipid levels of the observation group were better than those of the control group,and the differences were statistically significant(all P<0.05);the total response rate of the observation group was significantly higher than that of the control group,and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05);there was no statistically significant difference in the incidence of adverse reactions between the two groups(P>0.05).Conclusion The application of biguanide hypoglycemic drugs in the treatment of type 2 diabetes patients can further improve the blood glucose control effect and reduce the blood lipid level of patients,so as to obtain more ideal treatment effect and improve the quality of life of patients.
