Objective To study the clinical value of implementing urine protein test and urine microalbumin test for patients in diabetic nephropathy test. Methods 50 patients with diabetic nephropathy in the Department of Laboratory of Sanming Shaxian District General Hospital of Fujian Province from January 2020 to January 2021 were admitted and selected as the observation group of this study, and another 50 healthy people who were routinely examined dur-ing the same period were selected as the control group.Albumin test and urine microalbumin test were performed on the two groups, and the results of the observation group were compared with those of the combined test, the sensitivity, specificity, and positive predictive value of urine protein, urine microalbumin, and the combined test for diabetic ne-phropathy were compared. Results The 24 h urine protein and urine microalbumin levels in the observation group were higher than those in the control group, and the differences were statistically significant(both P<0.05).The sensi-tivity and positive predictive value of the combined test were higher than those of the urine protein and urine microal-bumin test, and the differences were statistically significant(both P<0.05).There was no statistically significant differ-ence in specificity between two groups(P>0.05).Conclusion Urine protein test and urine microalbumin test can be applied in the clinical diagnosis of diabetic nephropathy, the joint application of the two can provide an important ref-erence for clinical treatment.
