Objective To observe the effect of painless delivery in patients with Gestational Diabetes Mellitus(GDM).Methods A total of eighty GDM patients admitted to the Women and Children's Hospital Affiliated to Xiamen Univer-sity from January 2021 to December 2022 were selected as the study objects.According to different delivery methods, they were divided into control group and observation group.the observation group selected painless delivery, the con-trol group selected traditional delivery, with forty cases each.Blood glucose changes, maternal and infant outcomes and labor pain were compared between the two groups. Results After delivery, compared with the control group, the fasting plasma glucose[(4.45±0.72)mmol/L]and 2-hour postprandial plasma glucose[(5.29±1.14)mmol/L]in the ob-servation group were better, the differences were statistically significant(t=2.946,3.242,both P<0.05).The cesarean section rate(7.50%),neonatal asphyxia rate(2.50%),fetal distress rate(0)and neonatal hypoglycemia rate(2.50%)in the observation group were lower than those in control group, and the differences were statistically significant(χ2= 4.588,5.000,5.333,5.000,all P<0.05).Delivery pain relief and neonatal Apgar score in observation group were bet-ter than those in control group, the differences were statistically significant(both P<0.05).Conclusion Painless deliv-ery can reduce the blood glucose level of GDM patients, reduce the incidence of adverse pregnancy outcomes and la-bor pain scores.
