Objective To explore the clinical effect of combined use of metformin tablets and Liuwei Dihuang pills in the treatment of type 2 diabetes.Methods 60 patients with type 2 diabetes who were admitted to Xianyou County Ma-ternal and Child Health Hospital from March 2022 to February 2023 were selected as the study objects.Based on the premise of comparability of component sample characteristics,the patients were divided into comparison group and an exploration group with 30 cases in each group by random bicolor method.The comparison group was treated with met-formin tablets,while the exploration group was treated with metformin tablets and Liuwei Dihuang pills.Blood glucose level,clinical efficacy,incidence of adverse reactions during treatment and quality of life score after treatment were compared between the two groups.Results Before treatment,there was no statistically significant difference in gly-cated hemoglobin,fasting blood glucose and 2-hour postprandial blood glucose between the two groups(all P>0.05).After treatment,the indexes of glycated hemoglobin,fasting blood glucose and 2-hour postprandial blood glucose in the exploration group were lower than those in the comparison group,and the differences were statistically significant(all P<0.05).The clinical efficacy of the exploration group was higher than that of the comparison group,and the differ-ence was statistically significant(P<0.05).There was no statistically significant difference in the incidence of adverse reactions between the two groups(P>0.05).After treatment,the life quality scores of general health,emotional func-tion,vital vitality and mental health in the exploration group were higher than those in the control group,and the dif-ferences were statistically significant(all P<0.05).Conclusion The combined application of metformin tablets and Liu-wei Dihuang pills for the clinical treatment of type 2 diabetes patients can achieve remarkable results,which can not only effectively control the blood glucose level of patients,but also improve the quality of life of patients to a certain extent,and also have good safety.
