Clinical Study of Liraglutide Injection Combined with Metformin Hydro-chloride Tablets in the Treatment of Obese Patients with Type 2 Diabetes Mellitus
Objective To explore the therapeutic effect of Liraglutide injection combined with metformin hydrochlo-ride in obese patients with type 2 diabetes. Methods A total of 96 obese patients with type 2 diabetes admitted to the Second People's Hospital of Yixing City from January 2018 to January 2022 were selected as the study objects and di-vided into two groups according to numerical table method, with 48 patients in each group. The control group was treated with oral metformin hydrochloride tablets, and the observation group was treated with Liraglutide injection + metformin tablets. Both groups were treated for 3 months, and the treatment effect of the two groups were compared. Results Before treatment, there were no significant differences in blood glucose level, islet function, body mass index and waist-hip ratio between 2 groups(all P>0.05).After treatment, fasting blood glucose,2 h postmeal blood glucose, glycosylated hemnoglobin level, insulin resistance index, body mass index and waist-to-hip ratio in observation group were lower than those in control group, fasting insulin and islet cell function index in observation group were higher than those in control group, and the differences were statistically significant(all P<0.05).Conclusion Liraglutide com-bined with metformin can simultaneously improve the islet function and body weight of obese type 2 diabetes patients, and can also reduce their waist-to-hip ratio, the effect is significant.
