Objective To analyze the efficacy of Jiangtangning capsules combined with metformin sustained-release tablets in the treatment of gestational diabetes.Methods 106 patients with gestational diabetes admitted to Jiaozhou Maternal and Child Health Hospital from January 2020 to January 2023 were selected as the study objects.The ran-dom number table method was used to divide the patients into an observation group of 53 cases and a control group of 53 cases.The control group was treated with oral metformin tablets,and the observation group was combined with Ji-angtangning capsules on the basis of the control group.The therapeutic effects,changes in blood glucose-related indi-cators,occurrence of adverse reactions,and occurrence of adverse pregnancy outcomes were evaluated between differ-ent treatment methods of two groups.Results After treatment,the treatment effect of the patients in the observation group was significantly improved,and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).The levels of various blood glucose indicators in the observation group were lower than those in the control group,and the differences were statisti-cally significant(P<0.05).The incidences of adverse reactions and adverse pregnancy outcomes in the observation group were lower than those in the control group,and the differences were statistically significant(both P<0.05).Conclusion The combined use of Jiangtangning Capsules and metformin sustained-release tablets can effectively im-prove patient,blood glucose levels,and reduce adverse reactions and the incidence of adverse pregnancy outcomes.
