Objective To investigate the effect of different anesthesia methods in the surgical treatment of diabetic pa-tients and its influence on hemodynamics. Methods A total of sixty-eight patients with diabetes were treated in Xia-men Fifth Hospital From July to November 2023 were selected as the research objects, all of whom received surgical treatment and were grouped according to different anesthesia methods.General anesthesia was applied to thirty-four cases in the reference group, while thirty-four cases in the study group were combined with epidural block anesthesia. The blood glucose, blood pressure and heart rate of each group at different time nodes were compared. Results The systolic and diastolic blood pressure of T3(surgery started 30 minutes)and T4(immediately after the surgery was com-pleted)in the study group were lower than those in the reference group, and the differences were statistically signifi-cant(all P<0.05).The heart rate of T3 and T4(82.34±2.83)times/min,(84.12±1.34)times/min in the study group was lower than those in the reference group, and the differences were statistically significant(t=7.988,15.825,both P<0.05).The blood glucose values in T3 and T4 periods in the study group were significantly lower than those in the ref-erence group, and the differences were statistically significant(both P<0.05).Conclusion There are differences in the effectiveness of different types of anesthesia in patients with diabetes who require surgical treatment.Compared with general anesthesia, general anesthesia combined with epidural block anesthesia has less impact on the hemodynamics of patients, and can stabilize the intraoperative blood glucose value, which has a significant role in ensuring the smooth operation and maintaining the safety of surgery.
