Objective To investigate the effectiveness of Liraglutide injection combined with metformin in the treat-ment of patients with type 2 diabetes. Methods The clinical data of 64 patients with type 2 diabetes admitted to the First People's Hospital of Taicang City from September 2021 to October 2023 were retrospectively selected.According to different treatment plans, they were divided into study group and reference group, with 32 cases in each group. All patients were treated with metformin, the reference group with dagliprazin, the study group with Delgu insulin Liraglu-tide injection. The therapeutic effect, blood glucose level, islet function and clinical indexes of the two groups were compared. Results The total effective rate of the study group was 96.88%,higher than that of the reference group(78.13%),and the difference was statistically significant(χ2=4.939,P<0.05).After treatment, the blood glucose level of the study group was better than that of the reference group, and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).The islet function of the study group was better than that of the reference group, and the difference was statistically sig-nificant(P<0.05).The body mass and total cholesterol levels of the study group were lower than those of the reference group, and the differences were statistically significant(both P<0.05).Conclusion In the treatment of patients with type 2 diabetes, the combination of tegu insulin liraglutide injection and metformin can improve the therapeutic effect, reduce the blood glucose level, enhance the islet function and optimize the clinical indicators.
