Objective To analyze the risk factors of hypoglycemia in diabetic neonates. Methods A total of 80 diabetic neonates admitted to Jinjiang Hospital(Fujian Hospital of Shanghai Sixth People's Hospital)from June 2021 to Octo-ber 2023 were selected as the study objects. They were divided into the reference group(no hypoglycemia,n=40)and the observation group(hypoglycemia,n=40)according to whether they had hypoglycemia.Blood suger of the children 48 h after birth was monitored, and questionnaire was applied to carry out univariate analysis and Logistic multivariate analysis. Results Logistic regression analysis showed that there were many factors affecting the generation of hypogly-cemia in neonates with diabetes mellitus after birth, including newborn birth weight, maternal age and increased ma-ternal body mass during pregnancy, and the differences were statistically significant(all P<0.05).Conclusion Diabetic neonates are more prone to recurrent hypoglycemia within 48 hours of birth, among which birth weight, maternal age and increased maternal body weight during pregnancy are all independent influencing factors for diabetic neonatal hy-poglycemia.Attention should be paid to these newborns and effective interventions should be provided to reduce the probability of hypoglycemia.
