Objective To investigate the effect of Zhilong Huoxue Tongyu capsule(ZL)on the cardiac function of dia-betic cardiomyopathy(DCM)mice.Methods This study selected 27 C57BL/6J mice from the Animal Experimental Center of Southwest Medical University on February 1,2023 as research objects,and were divided into control group(n=9)and experimental group(n=18)according to random number table method.The experimental group of mice are fed with Streptozocin(STZ)combined with a high-fat diet to establish a DCM model.After the successful modeling,the experimental group was divided into model group,Zhulong Huoxue Tongyu capsule group,8 animals in each group.The Zhilong Huoxuetongyu capsule group was given ZL 6.24 g/(kg·d)by gavage,and the other groups were given equal volume normal saline for 6 weeks.The heart mass index,blood lipid,cardiac tissue pathology and cardiac color ultrasound were observed in 3 groups.Results After 6 weeks of ZL treatment,the heart mass index of Zhilong Huoxue Tongyu capsule group was lower than that of the model group,and the blood lipid indicators and cardiac func-tion indicators were better than those of the model group,the differences were statistically significant(all P<0.05).H&E staining showed that the number of collagen fibers in the myocardial space of Bdellosaurus was significantly re-duced compared with the model group.Conclusion ZL can inhibit myocardial fibrosis in DCM mice and thus play a cardioprotective role.
