Objective To investigate the clinical efficacy of gliclazide combined with metformin in the treatment of type 2 diabetes.Methods 60 patients with type 2 diabetes treated in Puning Overseas Chinese Hospital from March 2022 to March 2023 were selected as the study objects,and were divided into two groups with 30 cases in each group according to different treatment modes.Gliclazide combined with metformin was used in the observation group,and Gliclazide was used in the control group.The clinical efficacy of the two groups was compared.Results After treat-ment,the total effective rate of the observation group was higher than that of the control group,the indexes of blood sugar and blood lipid were better than those of the control group,and the incidence of adverse reactions was lower than that of the control group,the differences were statistically significant(all P<0.05).Conclusion Gliclazide com-bined with metformin has a good effect on type 2 diabetes mellitus,not only can effectively control blood glucose and lipids,but also reduce the adverse reactions caused by gliclazide alone.
