Objective To study the effect of refined perioperative nursing for patients with diabetes in the prevention of postoperative incision infection. Methods A total of 64 patients with diabetes who underwent surgery and were ad-mitted to Honghu Hospital of Traditional Chinese Medicine from November 2022 to April 2023 were selected as the study objects. They were grouped by random number table method. The control group(32 cases)received conventional perioperative nursing, and the study group(32 cases)received refined perioperative nursing. The complication rate, blood glucose level before and after nursing, nursing quality and nursing satisfaction among groups were compared be-tween two groups. Results After intervention, the total complication rate(2.77%)of the study group were lower than those of the control group(21.88%),and the nursing satisfaction rate of the study group(96.88%)was higher than that of the control group(81.25%),and the differences were statistically significant(χ2=5.143,4.010,both P<0.05).The blood glucose levels in the study group were lower than those in the control group, and the differences were statisti-cally significant(both P<0.05).The scores of environmental management, basic nursing, professional skills and com-munication ability of the study group were higher than those of the control group, and the differences were statistically significant(all P<0.05).Conclusion In the prevention of postoperative incision infection, providing refined periopera-tive nursing for patients with diabetes has a significant effect, which can reduce the incidence of postoperative incision infection and other complications, and improve the control effect and satisfaction of blood glucose level, which has high clinical application value.
