Effect of Addition and Reduction of Liuwei Dihuang Pills and Its Influence on Blood Glucose in Patients with Type 2 Diabetes Mellitus with Kidney-yin Deficiency
Objective To investigate the effect of addition and reduction of Liuwei Dihuang pill on type 2 diabetes pa-tients with kidney-yin deficiency.Methods A total of 79 patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus with kidney-yin defi-ciency admitted to Zherong County Hospital of Traditional Chinese Medicine from June 2019 to June 2023 were se-lected as the study objects,and the patients were divided into two groups according to random throwing method,namely observation group(40 cases,treated with metformin hydrochloride tablets + addition and reduction of Liwei Di-huang pills)and control group(39 cases,treated with metformin hydrochloride tablets).Blood glucose level,inflamma-tory response[C-reactive protein(CRP),tumor necrosis factor-α(TNF-α)and interleukin-6(IL-6)],traditional Chi-nese medicine(TCM)symptom score,treatment effectiveness and treatment safety were compared between the two groups.Results After three sessions of treatment,the levels of fasting blood glucose,2 h postprandial blood glucose,glycated hemoglobin,CRP,TNF-α and IL-6 in observation group were lower than those in control group,and the dif-ferences were statistically significant(all P<0.05).The TCM syndrome score of the observation group was lower than that of the control group,and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).The total effective rate of the obser-vation group was higher than that of the control group,and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).There was no statistically significant difference in the total incidence of adverse reactions between the two groups(12.50%vs 10.26%)(P>0.05).Conclusion After treatment with addition and reduction of Liuwei Dihuang pill,the curative ef-fect is outstanding,which can not only effectively control blood glucose level,but also actively promote the improve-ment of micro-inflammatory state of the body,and then alleviate the clinical symptoms of patients.
