Analysis of the Effect of Taking Root Canal Therapy to Control Blood Glu-cose on the Efficacy of Diabetic Patients with Complicated Periapical Peri-odontitis
Objective To analyze the effect of blood glucose control effect on the outcome of root canal treatment pro-cedure in diabetic patients with complicated periapical periodontitis. Methods Clinical data of 60 patients with diabe-tes mellitus complicated with periapical periodontitis treated in the Dental endodontics Department of Urumqi Stoma-tology Hospital from January 2022 to January 2023 were retrospectively selected. The patients were divided into two groups according to different blood glucose control methods. The study group(30 cases)were treated with insulin as-partate injection. The control group(30 cases)was treated with oral hypoglycemic drugs. The blood glucose indexes and therapeutic effects of the two groups before and after treatment were analyzed and compared. Results Before treat-ment,there was no significant difference in blood glucose index between the two groups(P>0.05).After treatment, all blood glucose indexes in the study group were lower than those in the control group, and the differences were statisti-cally significant(P<0.05).The total effective rate of the study group was higher than that of the control group, and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).Conclusion When diabetic patients with complication of periapical periodontitis need to perform root canal treatment,it is more ideal to take insulin injection of blood glucose level, which can significantly improve the effect of root canal treatment.
