Objective To investigate the effectiveness and safety of Gegen Qinlian Decoction in the treatment of diabe-tes mellitus patients with damp-heat accumulation.Methods A total of 86 cases of diabetes mellitus patients with damp-heat accumulation in Changle District Hospital of Traditional Chinese Medicine from January 2021 to Decem-ber 2022 were selected as the study objects and were divided into control group and observation group according to random number table,with 43 cases in each group.The control group was treated with routine treatment,and the ob-servation group was treated with Gegen Qinlian Decoction on the basis of routine treatment.The blood glucose level,clinical efficacy,adverse reactions and quality of life were compared between the two groups.Results The total effec-tive rate of treatment in the observation group(95.35%)was higher than that in the control group,the difference was statistically significant(χ2=5.108,P<0.05).The total incidence rate of adverse reactions in the observation group was lower than that in the control group,the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).The blood glucose index lev-els of the observation group was lower than those of the control group,and the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).The quality of life scores of the observation group were higher than those of the control group,and the differ-ences were statistically significant(P<0.05).Conclusion After the treatment of Gegen Qinlian Decoction in patients with damp-heat accumulation type diabetes,the blood glucose and adverse reaction levels were reduced,the curative effect was prominent,and the quality of life of the patients was improved.
