Objective To analyze the value of health education based on WeChat platform in the continuous care of el-derly pregnant women with diabetes during pregnancy.Methods A total of 80 elderly pregnant women with gestational diabetes admitted to the Obstetrics Department of Dongchangfu Maternal and Child Health Hospital of Liaocheng City from January 2022 to May 2023 were selected as the study objects,and were divided into control group and observa-tion group by random number table method,with 40 cases in each group.The control group received routine educa-tion,and the observation group was combined with health education on wechat platform.Blood glucose and lipid me-tabolism indexes and self-management scores were compared between the two groups of patients.Results After nurs-ing,the blood glucose and lipid metabolism indexes of the observation group were lower than those of the control group,and the self-management scores were higher than those of the control group,the differences were statistically significant(all P<0.05).Conclusion In the intervention of diabetes in the elderly pregnancy,health education based on WeChat platform will help to improve the metabolic control effect of patients and improve their ability to manage and control their own life.
