Objective To investigate the role value of the application of the whole-process health education oriented by the knowledge-attitude-practice(KAP)model in patients with hypertension combined with diabetes mellitus. Methods A total of 75 patients with hypertension combined with diabetes admitted to Qingcheng County People's Hospital from January 2021 to January 2023 were selected as the study objects, and they were divided into routine group(n=37,routine intervention)and observation group(n=38,whole-course health education guided by KAP model)by envelope method,to explore the application value of different nursing interventions. Results After intervention, the blood glucose level, blood pressure level and disease uncertainty score in the observation group were lower than those in the routine group, and the differences were statistically significant(all P<0.05).The score of self-management abil-ity in the observation group was(120.12±2.74)points,higher than(117.88±2.13)points in the routine group, and the difference was statistically significant(t=3.945,P<0.05).Conclusion The application of KAP model-oriented whole-process health education in patients with hypertension combined with diabetes can improve blood glucose and blood pressure levels, alleviate patients'sense of uncertainty about the disease, and improve patients'self-management abil-ity.
