Effects of Calcium Dobesilate Combined with Acarbose on Blood Glucose,Inflammation and Quality of Life in Patients with Diabetic Retinopathy and Cataract
Objective To investigate the effects of calcium dobesilate combined with acarbose on blood glucose,in-flammation and quality of life in patients with diabetic retinopathy and cataract. Methods A total of 121 patients with diabetic retinopathy and cataract admitted to the First Affiliated Hospital of Xiamen University from December 2019 to December 2021 were selected as the study objects, and were divided into two groups according to random number table method. The control group(60 cases)was treated with acarbose, and the research group(61 cases)was treated with calcium dobesilate on the basis of the control group. And the blood glucose level, inflammation indexes level and quality of life of the two groups were compared and analyzed. Results Before treatment, there was no significant differ-ence in blood glucose index between two groups(P>0.05);after treatment, the blood glucose index of the study group was significantly lower than that before treatment, but there was no statistical significance in blood glucose control among the groups(P>0.05).Compared with the control group, the average levels of interleukin 6,tumor necrosis factor α,hypersensitive C-reactive protein and procalcitonin level in the study group were lower, and the differences were statistically significant(all P<0.05).After treatment, the Low Vision Quality of Life Questionnaire score of the study group was higher than that of the control group, and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).Conclusion The combination of calcium dobesilate and acarbose in the treatment of diabetic retinopathy with cataract is effective, which can effectively control blood sugar level, inhibit inflammation in vivo, and then improve the visual function and quality of life of patients.
