Objective To explore the clinical advantages of Shenling Baizhu Powder in the treatment of postoperative macular edema after diabetic cataract.Methods The clinical data of 20 cases(20 eyes)of adult patients with diabetic macular edema after cataract surgery in the First Hospital of Traditional Chinese Medicine of Changde City from Janu-ary to December 2022 were retrospectively selected and were divided into two groups according to different treatment plans,including the treatment group(10 patients,10 eyes)and the control group(10 patients,10 eyes).The control group was treated with intravitreal injection of comcaercept,while the treatment group was treated with intravitreal in-jection of comcaercept plus Shenling Baizhu Powder.The relevant indexes of the two groups were compared,including Traditional Chinese Medicine(TCM)syndrome score,central macular thickness(CMT),best corrected visual acuity(BCVA).Results Before treatment,there were no significant differences in TCM syndrome scores,CMT and BCVA be-tween the two groups(all P>0.05).After 1 month of treatment,the TCM syndrome score of the treatment group was lower than that of the control group,BCVA was better than that of the control group,and CMT was smaller than that of the control group,and the differences were statistically significant(all P<0.05).Conclusion Shenling Baizhu Powder has significant clinical advantages in the treatment of macular edema after diabetic cataract surgery,has good safety and long-term efficacy,and can effectively improve the vision and visual nervous system of cataract patients.
