Objective To investigate the application value of blood biochemical tests in diabetes diagnosis and treat-ment.Methods A total of 78 patients with suspected diabetes mellitus who visited Wuxi Xishan People's Hospital Ehu Branch from January 2021 to January 2024 were used as study subjects. The results of glucose tolerance test were taken as the gold standard, and the patients were subjected to routine urine sample test and blood biochemical test to compare the detection, sensitivity, specificity and diagnostic accuracy of different tests. Results A total of 78 sus-pected diabetic patients were subjected to glycosylated hemoglobin and two-hour postprandial glucose test, and the re-sults suggested 52 diabetic patients and 26 non-diabetic patients.Urine test was performed in 48 diabetic and 30 non-diabetic patients.Blood biochemistry test results suggested 50 diabetic and 28 non-diabetic patients.Comparing the results of blood biochemical test and urine test, the former test had higher accuracy(94.87%),sensitivity(94.23%),and specificity(96.15%),and the differences were significantly significant(χ2=8.259,4.307,4.127,all P<0.05).Conclusion The blood biochemical test is more effective in the diagnosis and treatment of diabetes mellitus, and compared with urine test, the former test has higher accuracy, specificity and sensitivity, and has clinical applica-tion value.
