Effect of Nursing Intervention under Protective Motivation Theory on In-fection Prevention and Quality of Life in Hemodialysis Patients with Dia-betic Nephropathy
Objective To analyze the effect of nursing intervention under the theory of protective motivation on infec-tion prevention and quality of life of hemodialysis patients with diabetic nephropathy. Methods A total of 80 diabetic nephropathy patients receiving hemodialysis treatment in Guangzhou First People's Hospital from January 2021 to May 2023 were selected as the study objects and divided into observation group and control group according to ran-dom number table method, with 40 cases in each group. The control group received routine nursing, while the observa-tion group received nursing intervention under the protective motivation theory. The infection rate, quality of life be-fore and after care and fluid intake control were compared between the two groups. Results The infection rate of obser-vation group was significantly lower than that of control group, and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).After nursing, the fluid intake control and quality of life of patients in the observation group were better than those in the control group, and the differences were statistically significant(both P<0.05).Conclusion Nursing intervention un-der the theory of protective motivation can effectively prevent infection in patients with diabetic nephropathy and im-prove their quality of life.
