Effect of Nursing Intervention Based on Self-regulation Theory on Self-management Ability of Patients with Hyperlipidemia Combined with Dia-betes Mellitus
Objective To investigate the effect of nursing intervention based on self-regulation theory on self-management ability of hyperlipidemia combined with diabetes mellitus patients. Methods A total of 69 patients with hyperlipidemia combined with diabetes mellitus admitted to Qingcheng County People's Hospital from February 2021 to February 2023 were selected as study objects and divided into the conventional group(n=35,conventional nursing intervention)and the study group(n=34,nursing intervention based on the self-regulation theory)by coinage method,to compare the effects of different nursing measures on the patients'blood glucose levels, lipid levels and self-management abilities. Results The study group's fasting blood glucose[(6.13±0.24)mmol/L]and postprandial 2-h blood glucose[(7.48±1.03)mmol/L]were lower than in the conventional group(6.28±0.18),(8.02±1.01)mmol/L after 4 months of intervention, the differences were statistically significant(t=2.943,2.199,both P<0.05).The improvement of lipid levels in the study group after 4 months of intervention was better than that in the conventional group, the differ-ence was statistically significant(P<0.05).Compared to the conventional group, the self-management ability score was higher in the study group after 4 months of intervention, the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).Conclusion Nursing intervention based on self-regulation theory can improve the blood glucose level and lipid level of hyperlipidemia combined with diabetes mellitus patients and improve their self-management ability.
