Role Value of the Application of an Intervention Program Based on the Theory of Protective Motivation in Diabetes Mellitus Combined with Bron-chiectasis
Objective To investigate the application effect of choosing the intervention program based on the theory of protective motivation in the care of patients with diabetes mellitus combined with bronchiectasis. Methods A total of 105 patients with diabetes mellitus combined with bronchiectasis who were admitted to the respiratory Department of Respiratory Medicine of Liaoyuan Central Hospital from March 2021 to March 2023 were randomly selected as the re-search objects. They were divided into the conventional group(n=54,receiving routine care)and the observation group(n=51,receiving the intervention program based on the theory of protective motivation was added on the basis of the conventional group)by the envelope method. The blood glucose index,Health Promotion Lifestyle Profile(HPLP)score,St George's Respiratory Questionnaire(SGRQ)score and psychological state score between two groups were ob-served and compared. Results After 6 months of intervention, compared with the conventional group, the observation group had lower blood glucose levels, higher score of HPLP,and lower score on SGRQ,the differences were statisti-cally significant(all P<0.05).The observation group had Self-rating Depression Scale score of(22.14±2.16)points and Self-rating Anxiety Scale score of(23.15±2.17)points,those were lower than the control group(23.45±2.13)points,(24.19±2.19)points,and the differences were statistically significant(t=3.128,2.443,both P<0.05).Conclusion In the care of patients with diabetes mellitus combined with bronchiectasis, the intervention program based on the theory of protective motivation can improve the patients'blood glucose level, improve the quality of life, and the psychologi-cal state is effectively corrected.
