Objective To explore the value of externally applied topical recombinant bovine basic fibroblast growth factor(rb-bFGF)in the treatment of difficult-to-heal wounds of diabetic foot. Methods A total of 60 patients with difficult-to-heal wounds of diabetic foot who were admitted to the Department of Orthopedic Trauma of Weihaiwei People's Hospital from January to December 2023 were selected as the research objects. They were divided into the control group and the observation group by random number table method, with 30 cases in each group. The control group was treated with conventional dressings, and the observation group was treated with rb-bFGF combined with a new type of dressing. The therapeutic effects of the two groups of patients were compared. Results After treatment, the time for ulcer relief, ulcer healing, appearance of granulation tissue and the appearance of epithelial tissue in two groups was shorter, and the observation group took a shorter time, and the differences were statistically significant(all P<0.05).Compared with before treatment, the ankle brachial index, foot ulcer area,Visual Analogue Scale score, and general symptom score of two groups were significantly improved after treatment, and the observation group had better indexes than the control group, and the differences were statistically significant(all P<0.05).Conclusion The treat-ment of rb-bFGF on the diabetic foot difficult to heal wounds can play a role in promoting the healing of wounds,im-prove the clinical symptoms of patients, help to promote the regression of patients.
