Objective To explore the control advantage of dapagliflozin tablets plus metformin hydrochloride sustained-release tablets for type 2 diabetes.Methods 139 cases of type 2 diabetes mellitus patients admitted to Da-tian County Hospital of Traditional Chinese Medicine from January 2021 to December 2023 were selected as study subjects,and the patients were divided into two groups according to the randomized draw,69 cases in the control group were given metformin hydrochloride extended-release tablets,and 70 cases in the observation group were car-ried out with dagliflozin tablets+metformin hydrochloride extended-release tablets,and the clinical effects,blood glu-cose index,blood lipid index,body mass index,homocysteine,pancreatic islet function and adverse reactions of the two groups were compared.Results The total effective rate of the observation group(97.14%)was higher than that of the control group(88.41%),and the difference was statistically significant(χ2=3.973,P<0.05).Comparison of blood glucose,lipid index,body mass index and homocysteine between the two groups before treatment,the differences were not statistically significant(all P>0.05);after treatment,the observation group's blood glucose,lipid index,body mass index and homocysteine were lower than that of the control group,and the differences were statistically significant(all P<0.05).Comparison of pancreatic islet function between the two groups before treatment,the difference was not sta-tistically significant(P>0.05);after treatment,the islet function of the observation group was better than that of the control group,the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).The incidence of adverse reactions in the observa-tion group was lower than that in the control group,and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).Conclusion Dapagliflozin tablets plus metformin hydrochloride sustained-release tablets can effectively improve the blood glucose index of patients,ensure the stability of blood glucose,improve the islet function of patients,reduce the side effects on the body,and have good safety.
