Objective To investigate the effect of insulin combined with medical nutrition in gestational diabetes mel-litus.Methods A total of 76 patients with gestational diabetes mellitus admitted to Nanjing County General Hospital from January 2022 to December 2023 were selected as study objects and divided into the observation group and the control group by double-blind method, with 38 cases in each group. The control group was given three meals of insu-lin asparagine plus extra-long-acting insulin before going to bed.The observation group was combined with medical nutrition treatment on this basis. The blood glucose indexes, adipokine levels, incidence of adverse pregnancy out-comes,and serum factor indexes before and after treatment in the two groups of patients were compared. Results Be-fore treatment, the blood glucose index and adipokine level of the two groups of patients were compared, and the differ-ences were not statistically significant(both P>0.05).After treatment, the blood glucose index and endolipokine level of the patients in the observation group were lower than those of the reference group, and the differences were statisti-cally significant(both P<0.05),the lipocalin and reticulin levels of the patients in the observation group were higher than those of the reference group, and the differences were statistically significant(both P<0.05).The total incidence rate of adverse pregnancy outcomes in the observation group was 2.63%,which was lower than 21.05%in the refer-ence group, and the difference was statistically significant(χ2=6.176,P=0.013).After treatment, the serum factor in-dexes of the observation group were better than those of the reference group, and the differences were statistically sig-nificant(all P<0.05).Conclusion Insulin combined with medical nutrition therapy is a good combination therapy in gestational diabetes patients, which can improve the blood glucose index and adipokine of patients, reduce the inci-dence of adverse pregnancy outcomes.
