Objective To explore the effect of short-term intensive treatment with insulin pump in perimenopausal women with diabetes. Methods From April 2021 to November 2023,46 diabetic patients were selected as the study objects from Baotou Central Hospital, all of whom were perimenopausal women. They were divided into 2 groups by random number table method, with 23 cases in each group. The control group received basic therapy+insulin subcu-taneous therapy. The study group received short-term intensive treatment with insulin pump.Blood glucose, treatment indicators and the hypoglycemic effective rate and the incidence of hypoglycemia were compared between two groups. Results After treatment, fasting blood glucose,2 h postprandial blood glucose and glycation level in the study group were lower than those in the control group, the differences were statistically significant(all P<0.05).After treatment, the total blood glucose reached the standard faster in the study group, and the insulin dosage was also lower than that in the control group, the differences were statistically significant(both P<0.05).In the study group, the hypoglycemic effective rate was higher, and the incidence of hypoglycemia was lower than the control group, the differences were sta-tistically significant(both P<0.05).Conclusion Perimenopausal diabetes is treated with short-term intensive insulin pump, which has quick effect, early adjustment of blood glucose metabolism, reasonable setting of insulin dosage, and accelerating the recovery of islet function.
