Effect of Dapagliflozin Tablet Combined with Pioglitazone Tablet on Glu-cose and Lipid Metabolism and Blood Glucose Level in the Treatment of Type 2 Diabetes Mellitus
Objective To investigate the effect of combination of dapagliflozin tablet and pioglitazone tablet on blood glucose level in patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus,and to analyze the effects of the combination therapy on the level of glucose and lipid metabolism and the occurrence of adverse reactions.Methods A total of 82 patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus from Xuyi County Second People's Hospital from January 2021 to September 2023 were se-lected as the study objects,and divided into control group and study group according to random number table method,with 41 patients in each group.The control group was treated with pioglitazone tablets,and the study group was treated with dapagliflozin tablets combined with pioglitazone tablets.The blood glucose level,blood lipid level and the incidence of adverse reactions were compared between the two groups.Results After treatment,the levels of fasting plasma glucose,2-hour postprandial plasma glucose,and hemoglobin A1c in the study group were lower than those in the control group,and the differences were statistically significant(all P<0.05).Compared with the control group,the levels of triglyceride,total cholesterol,and low density lipoprotein cholesterol were lower,and level of high density li-poprotein cholesterol was higher in the study group,and the differences were statistically significant(all P<0.05).There was no statistically significant difference in the total incidence of adverse reactions between the two groups(12.20%vs 9.76%)(χ2=0.125,P>0.05).Conclusion In the clinical treatment of type 2 diabetes patients,the combina-tion of dapagliflozin tablets and pioglitazone tablets can effectively control the level of blood glucose and improve the level of blood lipids,and has a high drug safety.
