Objective To explore the effect of personalized nursing model in intensive insulin pump treatment of dia-betes mellitus(DM)children. Methods Ninety children with type 1 DM who received insulin pump treatment in Chil-dren's Hospital Affiliated to Shandong University from January 2021 to June 2022 were selected as the study objects, and were divided into personalized group(n=45,personalized care)and routine group(n=45,routine care)according to random number table method. The blood glucose level[fasting plasma glucose(FPG),2-hour postprandial plasma glucose(2 hPG),and glycated hemoglobin A1c(HbA1c)],negative emotions[Screen for Child Anxiety Related Emo-tional Disorders(SCARED),Depression Self-rating Scale Children(DSRSC)],quality of life score before and after in-tervention,incidence of risk events and nursing satisfaction were compared between the two groups. Results After in-tervention,the levels of FPG,2 hPG,HbA1c,scores of SCARED and DSRSC in two groups were lower compared with before intervention, and score of quality of life in two groups was significantly improved compared with before interven-tion,and the personalized group was better than the conventional group, and the differences were statistically signifi-cant(all P<0.05).The incidence of risk events in personalized group(0)was significantly lower than that in conven-tional group(13.33%),and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).Nursing satisfaction in the intervention group was 100.00%,which was significantly higher than 86.67%in the conventional group, and the difference was sta-tistically significant(P<0.05).Conclusion Personalized nursing in children with type 1 DM treated with insulin pump can significantly alleviate negative emotions, reduce the incidence of risk events, improve the treatment effect, and im-prove the quality of life and nursing satisfaction of the children.
