Objective To explore the specific value of chronic disease management in the management of diabetes complicated with hypertension. Methods A total of 200 patients with diabetes mellitus combined with hypertension admitted to Hubei Provincial Government Hospital from February 2022 to August 2023 were selected as the study ob-jects.They were divided into two groups according to random number table method with 100 patients in each group. The control group was treated with nifedipine and metformin, and the observation group was treated with nifedipine, metformin and glimepiide tablets. The treatment effects of two groups were compared. Results The clinical efficacy of the observation group was higher than that of the control group, and the diastolic blood pressure and systolic blood pressure were lower than that of the control group, and fasting and 2-hour postprandial blood glucose and glycated he-moglobin A1c levels were lower than those in the control group, and the differences were statistically significant(all P<0.05).Conclusion In the condition management of diabetic patients with hypertension, the combination of nifedipine, metformin and glimepiide can improve the treatment compliance of patients and reduce the impact of the disease on patients'blood pressure and blood glucose.
