Analysis of the Effectiveness of Insulin Degludec Combined with Metfor-min Extended-release Tablets in the Treatment of Patients with Type 2 Diabetes Mellitus
Objective To analyze the efficacy of the combination of metformin extended-release tablets and insulin degludec in the treatment of type 2 diabetes mellitus patients.Methods Eighty-four patients who were treated for type 2 diabetes mellitus in the Endocrinology Department of Tianshui Fourth People's Hospital of,Gansu Province from January 2022 to April 2023 were randomly selected as the study objects and divided into the reference group(42 pa-tients)and the study group(42 patients)using the random number table method,and the control group was treated with the treatment regimen of glargine insulin combined with metformin extended-release tablets and the study group was treated with insulin degludec combined with metformin extended-release tablets.The insulin function indexes and blood glucose indexes before and after treatment,and count the incidence of adverse reactions in the two groups were compared.Results After treatment,the levels of the three blood glucose indexes in the study group were lower than those in the reference group,and the differences were statistically significant(all P<0.05).After treatment,the ho-meostatic model assessment of insulin resistance index and fasting insulin of the study group were lower than that of the reference group,and the homeostatic model assessment of islet β-cell function index was higher than that of the reference group,and the differences were statistically significant(all P<0.05).Compared with the total incidence of rash,lip and tongue swelling,hypoglycemia and diarrhea in both groups,the difference was not statistically significant(P>0.05).Conclusion The use of insulin degludec on the basis of metformin extended-release tablets treatment can enhance the efficacy,improve the function of patients'pancreatic islet cells,and significantly reduce the blood glu-cose level without additional adverse reactions.
