Objective To investigate the effect value of the application of the combination of Xiaoke pill and Liuwei Dihuang pill plus reduction in the treatment of early-stage type 2 diabetes mellitus(T2DM).Methods The clinical data of 60 patients with early T2DM admitted to Beijing Changping District Hospital of Traditional Chinese Medicine from July 2022 to December 2023 were retrospectively selected.According to the treatment methods,they were di-vided into routine group(n=30,treated with Xiaoke Pill alone)and observation group(n=30,treated with Xiaoke Pill combined with Liuwei Dihuang Pill).The clinical efficacy,improvement of blood glucose level and Traditional Chi-nese Medicine syndrome score were compared between the two groups.Results The total effective rate of the observa-tion group(96.67%)was higher than that of the conventional group(76.67%),and the difference was statistically sig-nificant(χ2=5.192,P<0.05).After 1 month of treatment,the blood glucose level and Traditional Chinese Medicine syndrome score in the observation group were lower than those in the conventional group,and the differences were sta-tistically significant(both P<0.05).Conclusion Early-stage T2DM patients were treated with the application of Xia-oke pill with the addition of Liuwei Dihuang pill plus reduction,the clinical efficacy of which improved and corrected the level of glucose metabolism,and the clinical symptoms were significantly improved.
