Long-term Effects of Krone Access Point Nursing Model on Negative Emo-tions and Self-management Behavior in Elderly Patients with Diabetes Mellitus and Hypertension
Objective To explore the long-term effects of krone access point(KAP)nursing mode on negative emo-tions and self-management behavior in elderly patients with diabetes mellitus and hypertension. Methods one hun-dred and ten elderly patients with diabetes mellitus combined with hypertension admitted to Shenzhen Hospital of Tra-ditional Chinese Medicine from March 2022 to March 2023 were selected as the study objects, and they were divided into the conventional group(performing conventional nursing care)and the KAP group(performing KAP nursing care)according to the stratified randomization method,55 cases in each group. The negative emotions and self-management behaviors scores between the two groups were compared. Results Before the intervention, there was no statistically sig-nificant difference between the anxiety and depression scores of the two groups(both P>0.05);after 3 and 6 months of intervention, the anxiety and depression scores of the KAP group were lower than those of the conventional group, and the differences were statistically significant(all P<0.05).Before intervention, there was no statistically significant dif-ference between the two groups when comparing the scores of management behaviors in terms of condition monitoring, diet, emotion, exercise, and medication(all P>0.05);after 6 months of intervention, the scores of management behav-iors in all aspects of the KAP group were higher than those of the conventional group, and the differences were statisti-cally significant(all P<0.05).Conclusion Applying KAP nursing model to elderly patients with diabetes combined with hypertension can help alleviate their negative emotions and regulate their self-management behavior.
