Objective To comprehensively analyze the diagnostic value of serum C-peptide combined with glycated hemoglobin A1c(HbA1c)in patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus. Methods Eighty patients with suspected type 2 diabetes mellitus admitted to Quanzhou Hospital of Traditional Chinese Medicine from April 2022 to April 2023 were selected as the research objects, and the results of oral glucose tolerance test were used as the gold standard. The posi-tive detection results and diagnostic efficiency(accuracy, sensitivity and specificity)of single and combined detection of serum C-peptide and HbA1c were analyzed. Results The oral glucose tolerance test detected 69 positive cases and 11 negative cases.Serum C-peptide was detected in 54 true positive cases and 4 true negative cases.HbA1c was de-tected in 57 true positive cases and 6 true negative cases.Serum C-peptide combined with HbA1c was found to be true positive in 66 cases and true negative in 9 cases. The accuracy and sensitivity of the combined detection of serum C-peptide and HbA1c were 93.75%and 95.65%,respectively,which were higher than that of single detection, and the differences were statistically significant(both P<0.05).The specificity of combined detection was 81.82%,which was higher than that of single detection, but the difference was not statistically significant(P>0.05).Conclusion Se-rum C-peptide and HbA1c are very valuable evaluation indicators for the clinical diagnosis of type 2 diabetes melli-tus,and their combined detection can objectively evaluate the blood glucose level of patients, contribute to the early screening and diagnosis of diabetes, and provide a basis for follow-up treatment.
